After being rescheduled the date was finally set for Dierks Bentley’s tour to make its stop here at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. Supporting acts included Travis Denning and Jordan Davis on the Beers On Me Tour.
The weather was a little sketchy at first, some rain then into a mist eventually clearing up and boy was that a sign of relief. We are in July which is nearly the dead of summer and lets just say it was nice of the rain to cool things down and make for a perfect night here at Merriweather Post Pavilion.
Just when things started to cool off, things got heated quickly as two of country musics hottest stars took the stage. First to take the stage was Travis Denning. He kicked things off (Literally, a lot of kicks coming from this dude in cowboy boots). Dennings setlist included a good handful of songs, to be exact he played a total of eight songs including his biggest hit After a Few. Check out his setlist below:
Call It Country
Red Round Here
David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs
Tank of Gas and a Radio Song
Buy A Girl A Drink
Dirt Road Down

After a Few
After a pretty energetic set from Travis Denning and crew, it was time for Jordan Davis to take the stage and the fans went crazy. Davis has been in this scene for a few years or so if im not mistaken and lets just say the fans absolutely loved him. This guy was nothing but smiles during the whole duration of his set, which consisted of some older material and some new. *Could not find Jordan Davis’ setlist*
After an twenty-five minute (maybe thirty minute) intermission while the stage crew was hard at work setting up for the man y’all have been waiting for, the DJ kept the high energy up. He pumped up the crowd, then just a few moments before Dierks Bentley took the stage the DJ introduced him and immediately departed the stage as the lights went down. As the band took the stage the crowd grew louder and louder. Then kind of out of nowhere Bentley took the stage and waved and smiled at the crowd opening up his set with What Was I Thinkin’, then the second song that followed was Burning Man. Eventually during what seemed to have some meaningful lyrics, Bentley took his guitar and played I Hold On.
The set was powerful, from the music, the lyrics, to the energy the crowd and band fed off on another made for a perfect night. The setlist was packed full of hit after hit in the seasoned discography that Dierks Bentley has under his belt. At one point of the night tour mate Travis Denning joined Bentley on stage and performed Bad Angel, then following both Jordan Davis and Travis Denning joined Bentley to perform Beers On Me. After having a blast with his tour mates on stage he decided to slow things down with a few acoustic songs. But as you know how these country shows get, it was time to get rowdy again as a few songs later he ends his nineteen song setlist with one of his most popular songs, Drunk on a Plane.
Just when you thought the night was coming to an end, it sure as hell wasn’t. Bentley and crew came back for more from this amped up Merriweather crowd and performed an encore of four more songs which included a bundle of cover songs such as Travis Tritt’s T-R-O-U-B-L-E, Brooks & Dunn’s Brand New Man, Shania Twain’s Man! I Feel like a Woman and then ended his set with another popular song of his, Sideways. Check out Dierks Bentleys full setlist below:
