On September 21st 2021; Coheed & Cambria and The Used teamed up this summer to bring fans one hell of a tour to a city near you. One of the stops made was good ole Baltimore MD at MECU Pavilion.
For a Tuesday night concert, the weather was absolutely perfect, the venue was packed (pretty impressed for it being a week night). This lineup was fueled by two insanely talented bands. The Used was up before Coheed and lets just say all of us emo kids were in absolute heaven. Frontman Bert McCracken addressed the crowd, thanking them for coming out, talking about how covid impacted his mental health, and that we are all in this together. Which I must say was quite touching considering covid has definitely impacted people in various different ways. The Used played a twelve song setlist which consisted of:
Take It Away
The Bird and the Worm
Listening
I Caught Fire (Included “Kiss Me – She’s All That” by Sixpence None The Richer as an outro)
Paradise Lost, a poem by John Milton
The Taste of Ink
All That I’ve Got
Buried Myself Alive
Blood on My Hands
Pretty Handsome Awkward
A Box Full of Sharp Objects (Snippet of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” as intro)
Up next was Coheed & Cambria, and I absolutely love seeing them live, not only because the guitar riffs and the music create such an amazing energy, but lets be real frontman Claudio Sanchez’s hair is flawless. Coheed & Cambria took the stage with a blast of energy and emotion. I don’t blame the bands that get to play live music again to be full of emotion, its been a long year and a half trying to get back to some sort of normal lifestyle. The fans went crazy immediately, from the start of their set to the very end. Coheed & Cambria also played a ten song setlist with two encore songs. Check out their setlist below:
In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3
Island
No World for Tomorrow
Shoulders
The Suffering
Ten Speed (Of God’s Blood and Burial)
Devil in Jersey City
A Favor House Atlantic
The End Complete III: The End Complete
The Willing Well IV: The Final Cut
Encore:
Unheavenly Creatures
