PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE MAKES A STATEMENT FOR TWO NIGHTS IN OUR NATIONS CAPITAL!
After being rescheduled just a few times, FINALLY Rage Against the Machine brings their well anticipated tour to the DMV with Run The Jewels at Capital One Arena nearly selling out both dates here. We got to cover night one of the two shows.
Opening up the night was hip-hop duo Run The Jewels, they kicked off their set with Legend Has It, now im going to be honest, fans enjoyed their set but these fans on the sold out general admission floor, all the way up to the last row at the very top were ready to get their rage on. Run The Jewels performed an eleven song setlist including ooh Lala, JU$T, Stay Gold and ending their night with a few words for the firing squad.
Check out the whole setlist from Run The Jewels below:
Legend Has It

a few words for the firing squad (radiation)
After a pretty solid set from the two hype men in Run The Jewels, it was time for the moment these fans were all waiting for. The legendary Rage Against the Machine started the night off with an intro Public Service Announcement before taking the stage opening up the night with Bombtrack. Now I have to give it to the frontman Zack de la Rocha who is hands down a trooper, with an injured leg, he still takes the stage sitting on a road case and puts on one powerful show. A huge kudos to him for pulling out all the stops for the fans who have been waiting to see these guys back on the stage again.
The setlist was jam packed with literally hit after hit, I don’t think there was a song that no one enjoyed. To name off a few included in this masterpiece setlist included Testify, Know Your Enemy, Guerrilla Radio, Freedom and of course People of the Sun and Bulls on Parade. Oh and I can’t forget they ended their set with Killing in the Name. Not only did these guys play hit after hit, they threw in a cover of Run the Jewels’ Close Your Eyes (And Count to Fuck) and of course they had to bring out their tour mates to collaborate on this track as well as a cover of Bruce Springsteens The Ghost of Tom Joad. WHAT. A. SHOW.
