Santander Arena Reading PA
Knotfest Roadshow
What a beautiful day in Reading Pennsylvania, and why is it a beautiful day you may ask? Well because Slipknot, In This Moment and Wage War are currently touring together on the Knotfest Roadshow tour! What makes this tour even more perfect is that they SOLD OUT the Santander Arena. Not a single seat left, the crowd in the general admission pit are packed like sardines and everyone in attendance is ready to ROCK TF OUT!
The lines to get in were insane, wrapped around the entire arena, fans flocking and rushing down to get the best spot on the general admission floor. You can definitely tell there were some hard-core Slipknot fans in attendance, some wore masks (some were older masks the band has previously worn) and some were their favorite horror icons.
Once fans started settling in their seats/on the floor (and are continuing to pile in) Wage War took the stage first. From playing small clubs as an opening act and now a headliner in those smaller clubs now they’re opening up for one of the best rock/metal bands in the industry on an arena tour. To be quite honest, Wage War should have definitely had a longer set maybe even be the second band on the bill, but hey they will get there one day. Wage Wars energy they put on stage really set the bar high. With an eleven song setlist Wage War did the damn thing and got the fans energy to a pretty high level ready for In This Moment to do their thing next. Check out Wage Wars setlist below:
Relapse
Low
Alive
Teeth
Godspeed
Manic
High Horse
Gravity
Death Roll
Circle the Drain
Stitch
After an insane set from Wage War, In This Moment took the stage. Their set consisted of a bunch of theatrics, and if you have seen them on tour you would know what I mean by theatrics. What was also a nice gesture from the In This Moment team was they made sure to address/and give their hopes and prayers to Jinjer. Jinjer is a band from the Ukraine who was supposed to be a support act on this tour but due to the unfortunate circumstances they couldn’t.
It was time for the main event! Fans chanted “SLIPKNOT” as the giant black curtain with the bands name on it covered the stage. Then the lights went out and the screams grew louder. What was also super cool was how the curtain got sucked up into the air rather than just dropping to the ground. SO HIGH TECH. The band opened up with fan favorite Disasterpiece. If you want to see an insane rock show GO TO A SLIPKNOT SHOW! The stage set up is mind blowing, there is fire, there is amazing lights and damn good music put on by the rock/metal veterans. Slipknot played a setlist that consisted of some older material and a bit of newer material. The setlist for this show consisted of seventeen songs and a three song encore. Check out their setlist below:
