The VERY stacked tour that was postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19 has finally embarked across the states and Washington DC was treated to such a killer show by all three bands on the bill. Unfortunately due to an illness within the Fall Out Boy crew they couldn’t perform in DC which was quite a bummer, but come on…it’s GREEN DAY! Along with two other stellar bands to get the party started.
The last time I saw The Interrupters was on the very last Warped Tour in Columbia MD at Merriweather Post PAvilion, so of course i was super excited to see them again. If you don’t know who this band is, you’re sleeping big time. Right before sundown The Interrupters took the stage and played a solid half an hour or so. Check out the set list below:
A Friend Like Me

Bad Guy
(Billie Eilish cover)
She Got Arrested
On a Turntable
Centuries / Dance, Dance / My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)
(Fall Out Boy cover)

After a super energetic set by The Intterupters, it was Weezer’s turn to take the stage. I must say i was quite impressed by Weezer’s stage set up, sorry guys but it was beautiful. The back of the stage lined with kick drums that spelled out WEEZER took up a majority of the stage but also gave room for some colorful steps and monitors. As Weezer took the stage they opened up their set with Hero, then went into fan-favorite Hash Pipe. I have to give it to frontman Rivers Cuomo for pulling off the mullet. Quite a different look from the last time they were in town. Weezer played to the fans for around an hour or so and performed an eighteen song set list that really warmed up the crowd for the legendary Green Day. Below is the setlist from Weezer:
Hero
Hash Pipe
All the Good Ones
Beverly Hills
The End of the Game
My Name Is Jonas
Pork and Beans
Feels Like Summer
All My Favorite Songs
Undone – The Sweater Song

Africa (Toto cover)
California Snow
Say It Ain’t So
Buddy Holly
FINALLY!! The moment we have all been waiting for. Granted, the two opening acts really killed it during their time on stage but man being able to see the legendary Green Day is just out of this world. Before Green Day took the stage, their notorious Bunny guy/Hype man or bunny? Took the stage to get the crowd pumped, which he did successfully as it went one side of the stage to the other. Leading up to show time Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody began to play which of course led to everyone singing at the top of their lungs, then transformed into the Ramones’ song Blitzkrieg Bop. The packed stadium then roared as the lights went out and introduction video began to roll.
After the introduction video rolled Tre Cool, Mike Dirnt and Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day took the stage opening up the night with their most played hit American Idiot. After the first song of the night the lights went out and Armstrong took a mega spot light and shined it throughout the stadium during the intro to Holiday. Green Day gave fans a pretty solid setlist if i do say so myself. Their setlist in Washington DC was made up of some older hits and some newer hits that just recently came out, such as Pollyanna. Not only did Green Day perform their own hits they also managed to throw in a few cover songs such as KISS’ Rock and Roll All Night and Operation Ivy’s Knowledge. Twenty songs made up Green Day’s setlist here in Nationals Park- Twenty One if you count the encore. Check out Green Day’s setlist below:
American Idiot
Holiday
Know Your Enemy
Pollyanna
Boulevard of Broken Dreams

Welcome to Paradise
