Lauv brings his All 4 Nothing tour to the nations capital, but it wasn’t just for nothing…it was to nearly sell out the venue and give his fans the night of their lives.
Here at The Anthem, fans lined up outside the venue awaiting to get the best spot in the venue, right dead center of the stage against the barricade. But of course they had to wait for the man of the evening, but don’t fret the two opening acts really kicked things off to a good start.
Opening up the night is the well known singer-songwriter from TikTok, David Kushner. Kushner with guitar in hand only had a short amount of time on the stage but with his power ballads he definitely caught the attention of fans whom were already in the venue. A few songs he performed included Mr. Forgettable, Thank You and his most popular song that really kicked his career off, Miserable Man.
After David Kushners set, was the girl you might recognize from the TV screen, Hayley Kiyoko, Yes the girl from Lemonade Mouth, The Fosters, Wizards of Waverly Place etc. Not only is this girl an actress she’s also an pretty good singer also. Kiyoko took the stage and opened up her set with demons. As she took the stage, the fans went crazy and got super loud, singing along. The smile on Kiyokos face was priceless and she seemed to feed off the energy the fans gave off. A few other songs that were played included Sugar at the Bottom, Curious and ended her set with Girls Like Girls.
After two incredible sets from the support artists, the stage was set and everyone was ready to go. The sea of fans held up their phones to record as Lauv took the stage. The last time I saw Lauv was at the All Things Go festival last fall and I was so super excited to be able to catch him on his massive headlining tour instead of some side stage at a festival.
The lights went out, the screams grew louder and smoke filled the stage as the intro began before Lauv took the stage opening up with his song 26. From a photographer point of view, Lauv’s production on this tour is a photographers dream. Beautiful white lights, a giant LED screen with insane effects in the background what more can you ask for? The production on the All 4 Nothing tour was top notch, but the sound was even better. From what you can hear over the masses of screaming fans lol!
The setlist Lauv performed consisted of a total of 24 songs which ranged from older material and even some newer material. Just to list off a few his setlist was a mix of songs such as Paris in the Rain, Chasing Fire, Drugs & the Internet, All 4 Nothing (I’m so In Love) and he even threw in a cover of the song he collaborated with Troye Sivan, I’m So Tired. As the night progressed on the fans wanted more and more but sadly the night had to come to an end, and that’s when Lauv ended his lengthy set with his most popular hit, I Like Me Better.
If you can catch Lauv on this run of the All 4 Nothing tour, it is HIGHLY suggested. Check out the full setlist from Lauvs show below:
