Jesse McCartney brings his New Stages tour to the Fillmore in Silver Spring, and let me tell you…he is still oh so dreamy.
Rewind to the early 2000’s I was around eight or nine at the time. I was absolutely in love with Jesse McCartney. From watching him on tv/movies to his early records and singing Beautiful Soul (which was on repeat constantly). If you would have told eight/nine year old me I would be photographing his show I probably would’ve either screamed my head off or not believe you.
Opening up the night were two super talented artists that are up and coming, the openers were Casey Baer and Jamie Miller. I think its safe to say that fans in attendance obviously knew who they were (social media does crazy things) due to the fact they were singing along word for word and just having the times of their lives as they danced to every song played.

After two fantastic sets by the support artists, it was time for Jesse McCartney to take the stage, fog filled up the stage and the lights went out. I’m pretty sure I nearly went deaf from the insane screaming from the fans in the crowd. McCartney took the stage and his silhouette was casted on a riser as he opened his set with Discovering You. Not going to lie when he still sounded as good as I remembered. McCartneys setlist consisted of all the hits from all different stages of his career. Not only did he play his own material he also performed two cover songs, one of which was Leona Lewis’ Bleeding Love and then he ended his set with a cover of Seal’s Kiss From a Rose.
I honestly was blown away by how talented this guy is. From being the teenage heart throb to a whole grown man and still killing it, his show was quite impressive. Be sure to catch this guy live, he’s amazing! Check out the entire setlist below:
