Currently on their biggest headlining tour to date, Wallows are taking their North American leg of the tour by storm! Lets also note that Wallows playing at the sold out show here in Washington DC at The Anthem was the biggest show they have ever played in a venue. I believe there was a little more than six thousand people in attendance.
The doors opened at 6:30 PM, the lines at both entrances were so insanely long. Ive got to give it to the staff here at The Anthem they got the mass amount of people in the doors fairly quick. Some fans immediately rushed to secure a spot right on the barricade and some rushed to secure some of the rad merchandise that the band had to offer.
After an pretty amazing set from Spill Tab, who I definitely have to praise for stopping their set multiple of times to help fans in the crowd who were in distress. Thank you for taking care of the fans.
After Spill Tabs set, it was time for Wallows and the fans went absolutely CRAZY! The lights went out and the guys took the stage with huge smiles as they waved as they grabbed their instruments. Wallows opened up their set with Hard to Believe.
I got the chance to see these guys right before the world spiraled out of control and it was in a much smaller venue so seeing their growth from that small venue to a venue that was sold out holding 6 thousand was just INSANE. On a personal note I am a huge fan of this band and I am so incredibly proud of their growth. Wallows consists of Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston. Their setlist was a pretty solid one in my opinion, the fans were treated to an 18 song setlist plus an encore of an additional 3 songs which included I’m Full, Do Not Wait and Are You Bored Yet?
