Mariah Carey is back in the studio, singing her way to her 15th studio album.
Talk of the new project began to surface at the start of her reality docu-series Mariah’s World on the E! Network, which aired December 4th. With the 8 part series wrapping up this weekend, now is the perfect time for official word of the new project to make way. Producer Jermaine Dupri has stepped into the studio once again with Carey, and posted a clip via Instagram from a recent TV segment, of a new song the two have worked on. The clip shows Carey taking off her engagement ring to ex James Packer, as she fuels all emotion into the break-up ballad.
The record will be released via Def Jam Records. A release date has yet to be annlounced.
